Lillian Freemond

(b.1999)

Lives & works in Chicago IL 

 

Lillian Freemond is an figurative painter dealing with the intersection of love, attention, proximity to others, and the capacity to bear personhood. She is currently completing a BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she is awarded the Distinguished Scholar Scholarship. Living and working in Chicago, she has exhibited work regionally at Happy Gallery Chicago, the Law Warshaw Gallery in St. Paul, the University of Minnesota Regis West Gallery, the Bridgeport Art Center, and at pop-ups curated by the Twin Cities-based Undercurrent Arts Collective. She cultivates a skillset of book and paper conservation practices, and continually builds her knowledge-base of ancient Latin.
